Felician Sisters minister to the imprisoned in correctional facilities in North America, bringing inmates not only spiritual solace but also the opportunity to practice their faith as well as receive religious education and pastoral care, if they so choose.

Through this ministry, our Sisters give inmates the opportunity to reach beyond themselves—beyond their present environment—and reach for God.

One of our Sisters serves as a Roman Catholic chaplain, part of a multi-faith chaplaincy team, who has developed an array of programs and services for Catholic inmates that includes religious education classes; spirituality, scripture, meditation, grief support classes; and Advent and Lenten retreats. She also offers the RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) to inmates who wish to enter the Catholic Church, introducing interested inmates to Catholic teaching and theology while also preparing them for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist.
